"SKYDIVING
UNCONCIOUS? RAVEN+CYPRES = LIFESAVER"

Dear George,
I am starting to get back to normal since
my accident, and I wanted to write you a note
to let you know how much I trust my Raven
and my Cypres. I had started to write before
this, since I have used my
Raven Reserve seven times in 2100 jumps.
(OK, I admit it... I used to experiment a
little with my main pack jobs!)
But this jump was a little bit different.
I was participating in the world record attempt
of the 232 way in Florida. The breakoff was
a little lower than normal, so the staging
of departure was a little more compressed.
As I tracked off, I was involved in a violent
midair collision with Rob Stillwell, leaving
me unconcious, and leaving Rob with a broken
leg! As I was tumbling out of control towards
the ground, my Cypress AAD fired open my reserve
container . Then my Raven Reserve took over
and obiediently deployed without questioning
my predicament.
I can't tell you about my opening. I can't
tell you about how the canopy handled. I can't
tell you about the landing. All I know is,
when I regained conciousness (in the hospital
the next day), I had been delivered to the
surface of Mother Earth without any injury
from the landing. Apparently, my Raven Reserve
landed me without any problems, even though
I wasn't steering it. It was totally under
its own control!
I may make a few equipment changes soon (like
adding a helmet) , but I will not make any
changes in my "Raven Packed/Cypress Equipped"
reserve. Why mess with such an awesome combination?
I strongly recommend Raven/Cypress to all
my friends, and to all of my students who
are buying gear for the first time.
Blue Skiez & Thankz for the save!
