Subject: Raven Save
Hi
George,
I
want to thank you specifically, and everybody
at Precision for my latest Raven
save (it was my second time). I am a cameraman
and jump a Stiletto 135 loaded at 1.63. I
was on an AFF video dive where the student
(level 1) kept on dipping because he wanted
to do ripcord touches with his left hand instead
of his right. He pulled his own ripcord with
assistance of the JM at just under 5000 ft.
I filmed the opening then threw out my own
pilot chute. The bag came off straight and
the canopy looked like it was going to open
on heading, but when the canopy opened, the
right side spun and gave me about 4 line twists.
I've been in line twists before with this
canopy and its not fun. I got to a point where
a stopped the twists but couldn't make headway
on getting out of them. I was now spinning
pretty good since I saw the horizon a few
times while looking UP at my canopy. I tried
looking at my altimeter but the Gs were not
in my favor so I decided to cut away at what
I estimate to be 2800ft, took about a 2 second
delay then pulled my reserve handle. Nice
blue Raven
1 out faster than I could even hope for. I
stuck my handles down my jumpsuit, cleared
the brakes and checked my altimeter: 2000ft.
I flared it once, took a single wrap on each
toggle and landed very nicely a little away
from the drop zone. Thanks again for the great
product.

Do you still do the free T-shirt thing? If
not, how can I get one?
